KC’s Hull Colour pages team proud to sponsor Hull’s Spotlights Awards
The Spotlight Awards is a ceremony that celebrates Hull’s young people who have achieved amazing things – and your voting form is just a click away.
The awards are for youngsters who have demonstrated courage and a desire to help others. The night is also for those who have overcome barriers to succeed in school, sport and arts. The awards are not just for the youths of the area, as adults who have also gone beyond the call of duty in their work with the cities children and youngsters will also be celebrated.
The 2010 event takes place on the 7 May at the glitzy KC Stadium and there is a variety of awards to be won. The awards include the Positive Contribution Award, for individuals,groups of children and young people who have shown determination in campaigning for change in the city, for example against racism, bullying or well-being, which is sponsored by KC’s Hull Colour Pages team.
Kathryn Lynn from Hull Colour Pages told Karoo how happy they are to be involved in the prestigious event, “We are delighted to be involved with the Spotlight Awards for the second year running and are proud to sponsor the ‘Positive Contribution Award’ – an award that celebrates people who give so much back to our local community through their positive, proactive and passionate drive. We look forward to the awards ceremony and celebrating what makes our city such a great place to live and work”.

- Outstanding contribution to arts
- Foster carer of the year
- Child or young person of courage award
- Achiever of the year (split into three ages ranges)
- Volunteer worker of the year
- Best friend of the year
- Entrepreneur of the year
- Young carer of the year
- Worker of the year
